Questions
What is the process for buying a home & land package?
Step One: Review your land options we have on offer and select the one that best suits your needs and budget.
Step Two: Discuss your ideal home with your agent. They’ll then be able to help you choose a floorplan that reflects your style.
Step Three: Select your façade design from our range of facades.
Step Four: Review your sales advice with your solicitor and ask us any questions you may have. From here our solicitor will issue two contracts – one for the land and one for the building for review. Once both contracts are signed a deposit will be payable to exchange on both contracts.
Step Five: Let us take care of you and guide you through the pre-construction and construction process.
How long until I can move into my new home?
Once the land registers and you have settled on your land, we obtain the building approval to build your new home. Once approved, we allow 42 weeks to build a new double storey home with it being quicker for single storey.
Can I choose the colour scheme throughout my home?
With our Signature, Essence and Comfort Series of homes we have a range of external colour palettes for you to choose from. All have been specifically curated to help you select a theme you love and carry this throughout your home, ensuring a consistent and elevated style. Internally we have a beautiful selection of colours and materials to choose from, to personalise your home.
Do I get to make changes to the home?
A range of modification options are available for all our Signature, Essence and Comfort Series homes. These include pre-designed options such as personalising the laundry and butler’s pantry to suit your needs or changing a bedroom upstairs to be a rumpus room. Simply review our options and select the ones that best suit your needs.
Does my home start construction on land registration?
Before we begin building, we need to obtain the local authority building approval. For CDC this takes approx. 6-8 weeks, however a DA through council will take longer. Once approved, we’ll be able to move to the construction stage.
How will I know the progress of my home?
At North Homes all clients receive a unique client portal login where they can track the progress of their home, view various documents and see photos as construction progresses.
