Speak to your broker or lender
You need to get your finances in order before you can build your new home.
Banks and lenders offer options such as construction loans that can help you pay for things in stages, so get clear on your options and the amount you can borrow. Often home and land contracts are split and require separate payments. Once you have pre-approval in place, you can start reaching out for quotes. Just remember to keep your budget in mind and factor in any additional items you may wish to add to your home at a later date.
Choose a build strategy
Are you going to knock down rebuild on your existing block, purchase a block, and build new or buy a house and land package in Sydney?
Designing the home completely from scratch can add months and tens of thousands of dollars to the process. It makes sense to work with an established builder who can help you narrow down your choices with a tried and tested home design that is customised to your preferences.
